The recent Chamber Spring Meeting, held on Friday, March 28, at the historic Chester House Estate, brought together local business leaders for a morning of networking, industry insights, and a unique lamb feeding experience.
Originally scheduled speaker Wendy Adams, Product Marketing Manager at Hampton Steel, was unable to attend due to unforeseen circumstances. However, Chamber President Donna French took the opportunity to share updates on the Chamber’s latest initiatives and teased big updates to be announced at the Chamber’s upcoming Annual General Meeting taking place on Wednesday, April 30, from 8am to 10am at Wellingborough Golf Club.
Donna, who is also Centre Manager at Rushden Lakes, then shared opportunities available to organisations to hold events and use community sheds at Rushden Lakes. If you would like to find out more about this, please contact customerservices@rushdenlakes.com.
Following Donna’s update, attendees received insights into recent developments and future plans at both Chester House and Watermeadow Park. David Gillings, Employment Adviser Leader at Jobcentre, then shared a presentation on the valuable support Jobcentre offers to businesses looking to hire the best talent.
A highlight of the morning was the early lamb feeding experience, thanks to a collaboration between Chester House and Watermeadow Park, which gave attendees an exciting glimpse into springtime rural life before the meeting commenced.
The meeting proved to be an excellent platform for networking and collaboration, with attendees gaining valuable insights from industry experts and local leaders.
Members and local business leaders are encouraged to stay connected through the Chamber’s social media platforms, website and newsletter for future events and opportunities, including the highly anticipated Annual General Meeting.
