Last week’s Summer Meeting featured a fantastic line-up of speakers who highlighted opportunities for local businesses to help them stay protected and grow.
The quarterly Wellingborough and East Northamptonshire Chamber of Commerce event took place at Stanwick Lakes, with members coming together for breakfast, networking opportunities and a series of presentations.
As one of her first engagements since being newly elected as Chamber President, Donna French was joined by Adam Kaplan, Founder of Pendragon Protect, and Samantha Hunter, Partnership and Events Manager at SEM Growth Hub, each bringing their unique expertise to the forefront.
Donna kicked off the meeting by introducing herself to attendees by sharing what she hopes to achieve as President before detailing her role as Centre Manager at Rushden Lakes and sharing opportunities that are available there for businesses.
Adam Kaplan took to the stage to share his expertise, put insurance into perspective and demonstrate how to protect your business and personal life from financial loss in the event of death or illness. The interactive session engaged speakers with questions, discussions and even a falling game of Penga (Pendragon Protect’s version of Jenga).
Samantha Hunter, Partnership and Events Manager at SEM Growth Hub, then spoke to attendees about the wide range of opportunities available via the SEM Growth Hub including its resource library, Net Zero Hub, grant programmes and events.
