Last week’s Spring Meeting featured an impressive line-up of speakers giving attendees the opportunity to stay informed on the local area and increase their productivity.

The quarterly Wellingborough and East Northamptonshire Chamber of Commerce event took place at Weatherbys’ Head Office, with members coming together for breakfast, networking opportunities and a series of presentations.

As one of her first engagements since being newly elected as the Member of Parliament for Wellingborough, Rushden, and the surrounding towns and villages, Genevieve (Gen) Kitchen was joined by Danny Cross, representing Winvic, and Adam Fox, business growth expert, each bringing their unique expertise to the forefront.

Q&A session hosted by Gen Kitchen

Adding a unique perspective to the Spring Meeting, Gen Kitchen hosted a Q&A session. Attendees had the opportunity to pose questions and gain insights into regional development, government initiatives and the impact of political decisions on businesses and the local community.

Danny Cross, Managing Director of Winvic Construction Ltd, provided an overview of Winvic operations which delved into the company’s activities across three specific sectors – Industrial, Multi-Room, and Civils & Infrastructure. The presentation also focused on projects Winvic has successfully delivered in Northamptonshire since its formation in 2001, offering attendees valuable insights into the company’s growth and impact on the local community.

Adam Fox, a leading expert in business coaching from Evolve Business Coaching, discussed advanced time management and task prioritisation techniques. Geared towards business owners, managers, and those committed to enhancing productivity without sacrificing well-being. During this presentation, participants explored the integration of the revered Covey Time Management Matrix with innovative strategies such as time blocking.

The Spring Meeting was then rounded off with a panel discussion and another networking opportunity.

This meeting follows the success of the Chamber of Commerce Business Awards 2023 held in December at Harrowden Hall – home of Wellingborough Golf Club. The awards ceremony recognised top businesses in Wellingborough and East Northamptonshire.
