Are you or your colleagues able to support local careers activity in schools? The South East Midlands Careers Hub supports schools, colleges, training providers and public, private, third sectors businesses to strengthen careers education with our future workforce.
The national initiative, Give an Hour, is run locally by the Careers Hub team. There are spaces this year for new volunteers of all ages and from a broad range of industries and backgrounds, take a look at the Give an Hour page here. The Careers Hub team are encouraging individuals to share internally or with your relevant networks.

Young Inspirers: Apprenticeships, technical & vocational qualifications – help spread the word with first-hand experiences
The South East Midlands Careers Hub is seeking young people with recent experiences of apprenticeships and technical qualifications. If you or a colleague (age 30 or under) are motivated to support and inspire others by sharing your experiences and journey, you are invited to volunteer between March 11th and 15th at a school in Bedfordshire or Northamptonshire. With support from the Careers Hub and Bedford College Group, young volunteers will be part of a panel of four or five young people brought together to share their first-hand experiences of technical and vocational qualifications with students aged 11 to 13.
There is no need to prepare in advance, the Hub will support you to take turns to answer questions about your journey, the training you have completed, your chosen industry etc. To volunteer, nominate a colleague or find out more, please click here.
