Chamber member Chelton Brown will be collecting gift donations during the Chamber Business Awards ceremony as part of a Christmas charity campaign brightening the festive season for patients who find themselves in the hospital during Christmas.
Those who will be attending the awards ceremony are encouraged to bring along gift donations, which will be collected by Chelton Brown. The 2023 Business Awards ceremony is taking place on Wednesday, December 6 at Harrowden Hall, Wellingborough Golf Club from 8am to 10am.
The letting and sales specialists are supporting Northamptonshire Health Charity in its annual campaign, Christmas Gifts for Patients, a heart-warming initiative that supports inpatients in local NHS hospitals on Christmas day. The appeal encourages people to donate a gift for a patient in hospital on Christmas day to bring joy to patients.
Rachel Johnson, Sales Partner at Chelton Brown said: “With Christmas being a time for people to be with their loved ones it can be a tough time for those in hospital so if we can help the charity bring a smile to someones face on Christmas day, just a small thing would help -like a lib balm or a puzzle book.”
The charity supports Northampton General Hospital (NGH), Kettering General Hospital (KGH) and the community and mental health hospitals under Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (NHFT).
Typical items that are perfect for patients include toiletries, small puzzle books, bed socks, in-date sweets and chocolate. To maintain infection control standards, all donations must be new, in their original packaging, and not gift wrapped.
Rachel added: “Chelton Brown would like to help support Northamptonshire Health Charity as by working together we can help expand each others reach. We all know someone who has used one of the hospitals in the county or have probably used one ourselves.
“We take them for granted and until I met Alison and the team I had no idea of how much the Northamptonshire Health Charity does that the NHS just can’t fund.
“We look forward to working with the Northamptonshire Health Charity going forward.”
Alternatively, you can donate from the Amazon Wish List or make a donation online for the charity to purchase gifts. Donating online has proven invaluable in previous years, especially for topping up gifts and particularly for male patients.
