The first two businesses to sponsor the Chamber Business Awards 2023 have been revealed as SEMLEP’s Growth Hub, a business support hub, and Wine Chateau, a local family business.

SEMLEP’s Growth Hub, the business support division of the South East Midlands Local Enterprise Partnership (SEMLEP), has chosen to sponsor and judge the Industry Award. This award will celebrate an engineering and manufacturing business that has demonstrated significant contribution to the area’s manufacturing industry.
Samantha Hunter, Partnerships and Events Manager at SEMLEP’s Growth Hub, said: “We are delighted to be supporting the awards this year for the first time. It is important to us that we help to showcase the fantastic work businesses are doing across the region and we are thrilled to be presenting the Industry Award in a few months time.
“With Engineering and Manufacturing playing a huge part in the regions economy and business ecosystem we’re excited to recognise a business that has made significant contributions to the industry.”
Wine Chateau, a specialised importer and supplier of Moldovan wines in the UK based in Wellingborough, is sponsoring the Services Business of the Year category. This award will celebrate an outstanding business that provides a skilled service or expertise to customers.

By sponsoring this category, we aim to highlight the significant contributions made by service-oriented businesses and their pivotal role in driving economic growth and development.

The awards ceremony, celebrating commercial success, is set to take place on Wednesday, December 6 at Harrowden Hall, Wellingborough Golf Club. The closing date for entries is Wednesday, October 31 and the shortlisted finalists will be announced at the Chamber’s Autumn Meeting on Friday, November 10 at La Luna on Silver Street, Wellingborough.
