Learning to look at things from a different perspective was the central message from the keynote speaker at today’s rescheduled Summer Meeting.

The quarterly Wellingborough and East Northamptonshire Chamber of Commerce event took place at Stanwick Lakes, with members coming together for breakfast, networking opportunities and a series of presentations.

Tom Cliffe, founder of Track NN and Cafe Track, who works to support autistic people to access employment through training, support services and creating opportunities, spoke about challenging unconscious bias and posed the question: ‘Does your business support every individual to thrive?’

Nick Hayton and Alison McCulloch told the audience about Northamptonshire Health Charity, while Simon Cox talked about why NNBN is ‘more than just networking’.

The meeting was then rounded off with a panel discussion and another networking opportunity. The audience included a special guest from Lacombe and District Chamber of Commerce, in Canada, with Wellingborough-born, expat Jeff Hanger visiting to exchange ideas.

This meeting follows the success of the Chamber Spring Meeting held in collaboration with the Business Times in May at The Chester House Estate.
