Independent traders from Rushden and Higham Ferrers and surrounding areas will showcase their products at a Heritage Family Fun Day taking place at Rushden Lakes this Sunday (Sept 17).

Between 10am and 4pm visitors will be able to enjoy a selection of stall and activities, including a free ride on the open top heritage bus tour.

Those visiting The Lakes on the evening of Friday, 22 September, will have the opportunity to listen to author of Wolves of Odin and The Diamond Emperor series, Simon Turney. He will host a Q&A and discussion on his background and inspirations at Magazine Heaven between 7pm and 9pm after which he will sign books.

Drinks will be available to purchase at the event, and there is no booking policy or fee.

New businesses to recently open include The Spud Shack, offering jacket potatoes with a range of toppings from 11:30am at its location between FatFace and L’occitane in Food Court.

BubbleCiTea has opened in the complex’s Garden Square. Catering for all your bubble tea cravings, the store is open every day and has over 20 freshly brewed tea flavours alongside 12 different toppings, including vegan alternatives.
