The North Northamptonshire Council Safer Communities Team, in partnership with local communities, businesses and voluntary/statutory agencies, are running their yearly anti-litter campaign ‘Big PIC – Pride In North Northants’ during the week of 18-22 September. A programme of community clean-ups, public awareness events and litter education activities will be delivered during the week, to encourage and educate local communities on the importance of keeping North Northamptonshire cleaner and greener.
If you would like to support the campaign with organising a clean-up, or know of any community groups in your area that want to take part, please let Suzanne Preston, Safer Communities Partnerships Officer on Suzanne.preston@northnorthants.gov.uk with a preferred date/time and location.
North Northamptonshire Council can provide litter picking equipment, risk assessments and team support (where available) on the day, but local groups must be prepared to be the main organiser for any proposed clean-up events regarding the planning and be the main contact point/co-ordinator on the actual day of the event.
Thank you for supporting the Big PIC!
