A well-loved Northamptonshire bakery has recently opened the doors to its seventh store, based at Rushden Lakes.
Butterwick welcomed customers for the first time at the busy retail park during its “best opening day on record”, taking place last Saturday, January 7.
Husband and wife, Ryan and Fiona Scarborough, opened the first Butterwick in Corby during 2019. Since then, the business has boomed with stores opening in Market Harborough and Kettering during 2021, Rugby Wellingborough and Northampton during 2022, and then at Rushden Lakes earlier this year.
On the day of the launch, the owners shared a message of thanks with their social media followers. They said: “Three years ago I was making cupcakes from my home kitchen, dreaming of bigger things for this little business I love so much, today we are thrilled to share, that little business has just achieved its best open day on record for store number seven.
“I can no longer take credit for the thousands of bakes that are prepared, baked, delivered and sold.
“Butterwick wouldn’t be what it is without every member of the team who are dedicated to deliver what we strive to achieve as business community.”
Launching the store at Rushden Lakes is the latest step in achieving the business’ goal of opening ten stores by 2024.
The ‘instagramable’ bakery also offers doughnuts, brownies, cookies, cakes, coffees and milkshakes.
