People are invited to gather at Castlefields Park, Wellingborough from 11am on Wednesday 30 November for the planting of a copse of Rowans in memoriam of the late Queen Elizabeth II and an Oak to commemorate the reign of King Charles III.

The plans, announced by Wellingborough Town Council, will see a copse of Rowans planted adjacent to the entrance to Castlefields Park, on Irthlingborough Road, opposite Booker and an Oak adjacent to the Bandstand to commemorate the new King Charles III.

After the tree planting at 1pm, the Mayor of Wellingborough, Cllr Jonathan Ekins, will unveil the Queen’s Jubilee Bench, which was purchased and installed earlier this year in front of the tennis courts in Swanspool Gardens.

Everybody is welcome to attend.
