Following a Wellingborough and East Northants Chamber of Commerce meeting, the chamber have provided useful resources for North Northamptonshire businesses based on the topics discussed.
The meeting proved incredibly useful and discussed multiple topics including the North Northamptonshire Job Club, Northamptonshire E-Bike scheme and the DiscoverNN app.
North Northamptonshire Job Club
North Northamptonshire Council have teamed up with partners to support job seekers across the local area.
The support offered includes:
- help with job applications
- CV support
- support to develop interview skills
- find job opportunities in the area
- find training and development opportunities
- learn about starting a new business
- discover volunteering opportunities
Experts from a variety of local organisations will be on hand to answer your questions, provide free confidential advice and guidance, and set up a programme of support just for you.

Northamptonshire E-Bike scheme
A new scheme to enable businesses to offer e-bikes for their staff is being launched by North and West Northamptonshire Councils under the Smart Move Northamptonshire brand.
Businesses accepted on the free trial, which involves a fleet of 40 e-bikes, will be able to offer staff a free four-week trial of an e-bike.
Smart Move Northamptonshire explained: “It is hoped that this trial will enable staff to gain confidence and change their travel habits, whilst also supporting the business in their travel planning, reducing the pressure on staff parking whilst supporting their staff to become more active.”

More than 2,000 people have already downloaded the DiscoverNN app and more than 300 local businesses have signed up to the platform.
The marketplace website and app features shopping, tourism, events and business. It makes discovering and connecting with the local area quick and easy.
