Northamptonshire businesses are invited to the Northamptonshire Virtual Funding Fair 2022.

The event is taking place via Zoom from Tuesday 7 June to Thursday 9 June.

The past few years have been tough for community projects. The fair will feature presentations from local and national funders who can help contribute towards community projects in the county.

The funders and organisations who can help provide funding for projects include the Heritage Lottery, Northamptonshire Community Foundation and OPFCC.

Each session will provide information on how best to apply for grants, along with a hints and tips presentation.

The Virtual Funding Fair has been organised by North Northamptonshire Council and West Northamptonshire Council in partnership with ‘Northamptonshire Development and Funding Workers Network’.

Councillor Andy Mercer, North Northamptonshire Council’s Executive Member for Housing and Communities, said: “I am pleased that we have been able to partner up with like-minded organisations once again to host the Northamptonshire Virtual Funding Fair.

“After a difficult time for community groups, the sessions on offer are essential for anyone looking to fund a project and wants to find out more about the opportunities available to them.

“With new schemes and funding opportunities appearing all the time, we would encourage anyone who is considering a community project to join us at one, or more, of our sessions between 7 – 9 June.”

Councillor Adam Brown, Deputy Leader of West Northamptonshire Council, and Cabinet Member for Housing, Culture and Leisure, added: “If you are a member of a community group seeking funding for a project, new equipment, or building repairs, then this is your chance to learn about what funding is available.

“The virtual session will host a range of funders who could help you with your projects. You will also learn about how best to apply for grants, along with important advice through a series of presentations. Join in online and discover the range of opportunities West Northamptonshire Council can offer.”
