East Midlands businesses are still able to apply for the Department for International Trade’s European Structural and Investment Fund (ESIF).
Match-funded grants from £1,000 to £9,000 are up for grabs, however businesses must provide between 40 to 50 per cent of the overall cost, depending on where the business is based.
To be eligible for the funding, the business must be a small or medium sized enterprise (SME) with no more than 250 employees, with no more than 25 per cent of the business owned by a non-SME. Turnover per year must be no greater than €50 million, or the annual balance sheet must not exceed €43 million.
Areas that can be supported by the fund include:
- Market research
- IP advice
- International social media/SEO
- Independent market visits
- Translation services
