A virtual business festival will be held next week 22 – 28 February to provide help and support for businesses in East Northants and Wellingborough as part of the Recovery Through Enterprise programme.

The Recovery Through Enterprise programme was set up, by local authorities and organisations, in light of the coronavirus pandemic to support local businesses and partner organisations from across the county and offers a variety of resources and help including personal 1:1 business advice, dedicated support for those thinking of starting a business and access to specialist resources.

Offering something for everyone, the festival will feature a variety of business support webinars with guest speakers from organisations such as SEMLEP, Enterprise Nation as well as officers from East Northamptonshire Council’s Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Health teams. There will also be a series of podcasts released with local high street businesses who have adapted throughout the pandemic.

The main event on Tuesday 23 February will include an introduction to the Recovery Through Enterprise programme, guest speakers and breakout sessions across the day based around digital media.

Cllr Steven North, Leader of East Northamptonshire Council, said: “The Recovery Through Enterprise programme continues to grow in strength and we are so pleased to be able to host a virtual festival to help businesses at this difficult time.

“We have experts across the week ready and on hand to give tips and advice to all businesses, so whether you are just starting a business from your spare room or are well established but are having to adapt to cope with the consequences of the pandemic, there really will be something for everyone.”

Other highlights across the week include a virtual Dragon’s Den style event, a tourism webinar from VisitEngland and Destination Nene Valley, a social media campaign to promote shopping local and a FastTrack Job Match scheme webinar.
