As we face the unprecedented challenges posed by the impact of the coronavirus on our business communities the Wellingborough & East Northamptonshire Chamber of Commerce is working hard to create an online forum to help people stay connected.

Simon Toseland Chamber President said: “We’ve been busy working hard behind the scenes to create a forum page on the Chamber website to allow our members to talk and share their ideas and problems as well as providing a platform for business owners to offer their services and goods.

“Along with this we are committed to doing our utmost to signpost business in the right direction. We know these are uncertain times with people not only trying to make sense of what is going on in the world around them but having to handle the sudden reorganisation of finances to ensure wages, mortgages and  bills can be paid.

“In response to the economic turmoil caused by restrictions in place to halt the spread of the coronavirus the government has announced a raft of measures to support small businesses and now the self-employed. We are dedicated to keeping on top of the advice and will sign-post people to further information as soon as it arises.”

The Chamber is also encouraging members to use the hashtag #WENChamber on social media as a further way to allow the local business community to connect.

Simon added: “We want our business community to know that they are not alone and one of the best ways to do this is through our soon to be launched online forum as well as social media. We appeal to all our members and businesses in the Wellingborough and East Northants area to share their news, initiatives, help and advice by tagging their posts with #WENChamber. At times like this we need our business community to pull together to support each other so that people know they are not alone.”
