The President of the Wellingborough Chamber of Commerce will provide continued “support and guidance” to businesses in the Borough during his second term in office.

Simon Toseland
Simon Toseland will continue at the helm of the business organisation following unanimous re-election by Members and the Executive Committee.
The founding Director of Prop-Search, Wellingborough-based commercial property specialists, has vowed to support businesses facing uncertainty brought about by the current political climate on both a local and national level.
He said: “As the framework around local government evolves it is inevitable that the changes likely to be created through the unification of the North Northants authorities could frustrate and impede many businesses, either directly or indirectly.
“We will endeavour to provide more support and guidance for those businesses facing the uncertainty brought about by weak and indecisive politics both at Central and LocalGovernment levels.
“I intend to continue with my pledge to create a Chamber that can work closer with both local businesses and the public sector and to focus on and address issues that impact on the daily challenges facing all of us.”
Prop-search was founded in 2008, celebrating its 10th anniversary last year and specialises in advising on commercial property development, investment, management and agency.
Simon also chairs the Wellingborough Town Centre Partnership, is a Board Director of River Nene Regional Park CiC and an Envoy for SEMLEP.
He added: “The Chamber’s role in working with Partners for a common aim will continue, including projects such as the Irthlingborough Road bridge serving the Leyland Business Estate, where the combined efforts of many have secured the reinstatement of this vital link to the town and the vision for a marina on the Embankment, where the Chamber is partnering the River Nene Regional Park CiC, Nenescape, the Nene Valley Catchment Partnership and a number of other groups and individuals passionate about the sustainable future of the River Nene and surrounding environment.
“The year ahead will no doubt be as exciting and challenging as the last 12 months and the Chamber is ready to share the journey with existing businesses and those yet to join us.”
Chamber membership costs as little as £58 a year. For more information, visit www.wellingboroughchamber.co.uk
