Finalists in the Wellingborough business awards are preparing to battle it out for top honours in the town’s third annual breakfast ceremony.

Entries have been narrowed down across three categories to go head to head to claim first place in the annual Wellingborough Chamber of Commerce business awards on Friday, 30 November at Wellingborough Golf Club, Great Harrowden.

High Street picture framers Pixie Gallery, Le Spice Merchant Indian restaurant in Farm Road, and The Piazza in Cambridge Street will battle for first place in the Retail Business of the Year category.

SK Energy, of Vaux Roadon the Finedon Road Industrial Estate, MDI Automotive Services, of Titley Bawk Avenue, Earls Barton and White Mills Marina Ltd, in Grendon Road, Earls Barton, and Wallis Payroll Ltd, of Rutherford Drive, are aiming for the top in the Services Category.

The Cooked Meat Company in Stanton Close will go head to head with Handcraft Manufacturing, based in Denington Road on the Denington Road Industrial Estatefor the title of Manufacturing Business of the Year category.

Simon Toseland, chamber president, said: “This year the standard of entries has been particularly high and we are looking forward to celebrating the excellence and applauding the efforts of businesses within the borough of Wellingborough.

“The business awards provide the perfect opportunity to celebrate the fantastic work taking place within the borough.”

A special community award will also be presented on the day to one deserving business or community group going that extra mile to serve members of the wider community.

Winners in each category will be announced at the breakfast awards ceremony, taking place between 8am and 10am.
