The Little Ale House in The High Street, Wellingborough has recently been awarded ‘Pub of the Year’ in the SME Awards for Northamptonshire.

Voted for by the public, landlady and owner Tracie Clarke-Piggot said: ’This is just fantastic, we are so proud to win this and want to really thank all of our customers for voting for us as this was based on public votes only.

“We have worked very hard to make our little micro-pub a friendly, non-music and non-TV pub, where people talk and make friends. We are also very proud of the range of real ales we sell which are changing all the time. A lot is packed into a very small space and apart from our beers we offer a range of draught and bottled ciders, wines, soft drinks and 40 different premium gins”

The pub, which Tracie and Alan run, is based on the High Street in Wellingborough just up from the entrance to the Jackson’s Lane car park. Over the past couple of years the pub has evolved and is always a welcoming place to meet and greet new friends over a quality pint or two. Open from Tuesday to Sunday (see hours below), you will always find a welcoming greeting as you walk through the door. Recently they have also been awarded a place in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide 2019, only one other pub in Wellingborough holds this accolade.

This little pub also benefits from having a cellar where alan is able to store real ales at a constant temperature with the aid of chillers. There are 4 gravity fed beers and 4 hand pumps and it always their aim to have around 4 to 5 different ales on at any time. Premium Gins have been a very popular item too and with the range of 40, there is something to please everybody. These are served in large glasses with heaps of ice and a range of Fever Tree tonics. A fine range of Malt Whiskeys are also available plus fine wines and soft drinks.

Our opening hours are Tuesday 5pm to 9pm, Wednesday and Thursday, 12 noon until 9pm, Friday and Saturday 12 noon until 11pm and Sunday 12 noon until 5pm. We hope that you will take time to visit.
