A business effected by the closure of Wellingborough’s Finedon Road bridge is inviting fellow trades people and members of the public to join them for breakfast on a series of dates in November.

To celebrate the re-opening of the bridge and the end of six months disruption, The Garage Door Centre, based at 6-8 Meadow Close, on Finedon Road, Wellingborough is inviting customers and members of the public to join them between 7am and 11am on Tuesday 6 November, Thursday 8 November and Wednesday 14 November.

The bridge was closed  six months ago so that work to demolish and reconstruct it could take place as part of changes to the Midland Main Line.

Director of The Garage Door Centre, Alice Dove, said: “The bridge closure caused a large increase in our fuel consumption and time. It divided our business into two halves, the sales department and the operation department, meaning we had to drive approximately eight times further each day for six months.

“To celebrate the re-opening we are inviting everyone, both trade and members of the public, to join us for breakfast to learn more about the company.

“People will be able to learn more about entrance doors, garage doors and steel door sets as well as pick up special trade price lists, enter the business card draw, take away samples and get stocked up with brochures.”

Neighbouring businesses, Jewsons, Howdens and Bonhams have also shown interest in joining the re-launch event.
