Discount retailer B&M opened its second store in Market Street on Wednesday.
Plenty of shoppers took the opportunity to look around the new store, which is conveniently located on the former QD Store site.
Local resident, Maureen Waters, 80, was invited to accompany Wellingborough Mayor Cllr Malcolm Waters to perform the ribbon cutting ceremony.
Store manager, Lynne Boarder, told the Northamptonshire Telegraph: ““We’re feeling really positive about the creation of new jobs for local people and feedback on the new store has been great so far.”
The new store has created 30 jobs.
