Beer campaigners have named a Wellingborough pub the best in the area.
The Coach and Horses, located on Oxford Street, scooped the Campaign for Real Ale (Camra) for Best Regional Pub in Northants, Leicestershire, Rutland and Rugby, prize.
The popular public house will now be one of five finalists to be considered for the Best Pub prize in the East Midlands later this year.
Mystery customers and Camra representatives visit and judge the pubs, taking into account service, decor and the quality of the beer available.
In a post on their Facebook page, landlord John Eames praised his team, he said: “A big part of this award was down to you guys as we would be nothing without you Thanks again!!!”
The pub offers 12 ales and 15 ciders which are on a constant rotation, as well as a variety of wines.
Earlier this year the pub was also named the best in the county.
