More than 40 real ales and ciders are available at this year’s Waendel Beer Festival which is set to start tonight.
With over 1,000 people expected to attend over the three days at All Saints Church Hall, the event is set to be one of the town’s most popular festivals of the summer.
Doors open tonight at 4pm and close at midnight but the event takes place from noon til midnight on both Friday and Saturday.
A range of tipples from both local and national micro breweries will be showcased at the event organised by the Wellingborough Chamber of Commerce, with attendees able to get their hands on BBQ food throughout.
Entertainment for tonight includes Dr Busker Unplugged, who plays the piano and accordion in a pub-style with the audience, while 1950’s style entertiners Rusti Steel and The Startones will perform on Friday and glam rock tribute band SNOG set to attend on Saturday.
Entry costs £5 per day and includes a free pint of any beverage, a souvenir beer glass and a full colour programme. A two or three day ticket costs £8 and includes the same benefits as well as another free drink.
