More than 20 jobs have been created following the opening of a new café bar in Wellingborough.
Castello Lounge is now open in the former McDonald’s site in Market Street following a successful launch night on Wednesday, April 6.
The company behind the venture spent £625,000 transforming the former fast-food establishment into a retro lounge with vintage artwork, sofas and quirky light fittings.
Craig Williams, operations manager for Loungers, previously told the Northants Telegraph: “Wellingborough is the perfect location for our Lounge concept.
“There’s already a thriving and vibrant community and we’re really looking forward to playing our part in the foodie scene here.
“Residents will be served by the very best – our new team is passionate about hospitality.
“Our excellent pre-opening and ‘on the job’ training programme ensures our staff will be at the top of their game.
“Training includes expert guidance from one of Europe’s most acclaimed baristas.”
The chain already owns Kino Lounge in Kettering and Mercado Lounge in Market Harborough and has plans to expand into Corby.
The menu will feature tapas dishes and burgers, as well as classics like beef chilli, mac and cheese or something from the specials board.
