Northamptonshire businesses are being offered the opportunity to promote themselves through a number of career-focused events at local schools.
Three schools from across the county have organised events to try and improve students enterprising skills and are offering businesses within the region the chance to help develop the ability of their future workforce.
Caroline Chisholm School in Northampton are hosting a Careers Morning on Thursday, February 25, to give students a chance to find out more about different jobs, as well as the qualifications and skills needed to do them. Local businesses have the opportunity to host an employer’s stand and communicate with the students through workshops.
Northampton School for Boys have organised a Employment and Opportunities Evening for sixth-formers on Wednesday, March 16, with local businesses urged to host a stand and promote work experience opportunities and job roles available in their company.
A Whole School Enterprise Day for students aged between 12 and 16 has been arranged at Moulton School on Thursday, July 14. Potential employers are invited to help develop the enterprising skills of the students, as well as conducting mock interviews and assisting students with CV writing.
There is also the opportunity for local businesses to exhibit at The National Apprenticeship Show at Arena MK, Milton Keynes over Thursday, March 10 to Friday, March 11. The two-day careers event highlights apprenticeships at all levels with national and local employers of all sizes set to attend.
