IMG_027715-120419_300x300Over 70 Northamptonshire businesses came together to celebrate the Northamptonshire Growth Hub’s second birthday at the University of Northampton Innovation Centre.

Guests were given the opportunity to learn first-hand about the Growth Hub’s ambitions for the coming year and to hear from both well-established and start-up businesses about their experiences of planning for growth or launching a new enterprise on Wednesday, December 2. There was also a chance to put questions direct to Growth Hub Manager, Janette Pallas, and her team of experienced and professional business support advisers.

Amongst those exhibiting included Northamptonshire-based Maria’s Coffee and Cake which launched just last month, Red Arch Engineering, Zinc Digital and Griff’s.

In just two years, the Northamptonshire Growth Hub has handled over 2,000 enquiries from businesses looking for an extensive range of growth support from early stage one-to-one guidance to a more comprehensive business growth strategy.

Janette Pallas said: “Our focus is on businesses that are serious about growth. The countywide reputation of the Growth Hub to offer a high standard of bespoke business support means that we can engage with and help more Northamptonshire companies achieve their ambitions than ever before.

“A typically ambitious company keen to expand has been established for between three and 10 years; they know where they want to be and are in a position to get there with the right, tailor-made advice and guidance. This is where the Growth Hub comes in.”

The Growth Hub birthday event coincided with the launch of the Hub’s brand new website which is more effective than ever in providing easy access to the comprehensive and unbiased support on offer to new or growing businesses – www.northamptonshiregrowthhub.co.uk

The website also includes information about upcoming events and workshops for 2016 including ‘New Year, New Sales’ on 8 January at the Northampton Innovation Centre, ‘Introduction to Social Media for Business’ on 13 January at Northampton Central Library and ‘Managing Risk in Business’ on 28 January at the Northampton Innovation Centre.
