Businesses in Wellingborough can learn more about the services on offer to help make 2016 their best year yet during a Breakfast Briefing being held at The Hind Hotel.
The meeting, organised by the Wellingborough Chamber, will be held from 8am on Wednesday, December 16, and will give companies the chance to quiz business leaders about the economic outlook in Northamptonshire for the next 12 months and discover the growth opportunities available to them.
David Cross, chamber president, said: “This is the latest in our series of business briefings on services that are on offer for Wellingborough and other local businesses.
“We want to make local business people aware of the support that’s out there to help them grow and prosper in 2016. There is an exceptional support network for businesses in Wellingborough and by working closer together we can help both the town and county to thrive, creating more jobs and growing the local economy.”
Janette Pallas from Northamptonshire Growth Hub will be on hand to discuss plans for new services in 2016 and businesses will be able to ask questions about the Growth Hub, which recently celebrated its second birthday and has helped new start-ups with advice, recruitment support and access to finance.
Representatives from the Borough Council of Wellingborough will also attend the briefing as part of its ongoing review of Wellingborough’s Economic Strategy, which is being undertaken to ensure that it reflects local needs and priorities.
The council is keen to get local businesses’ feedback and comments on the strategy and associated implementation plan, which also invites suggestions for additional activities which address the priorities and how their success can be measured.
The Business Briefing will also hear from Talent Match Northamptonshire, a Big Lottery Fund supported Programme that is tackling long-term youth unemployment in Wellingborough and Kettering by helping to create job and training opportunities that can lead to successful outcomes for young people in the local community.
