Logistics companies in Northamptonshire are preparing for a busy time ahead with two of the biggest shopping days of the year coming at the end of the month.
Black Friday on November 27, and Cyber Monday on November 30 mean that local companies in the logistics sector are working hard to fulfil orders. More than £12,000 is expected to be spent every second on Black Friday alone.
Over 45,000 people work in the logistics and transport sector in Northamptonshire, which is twice the national average.
Tim Bagshaw, Head of Innovation, NEP said on their website: “Clearly, with the wider business community expecting UK sales to pass £1billion on Black Friday, there is a significant customer expectation to take care of. Northamptonshire logistics companies play a vital role in this event and other peak activity, with the county’s extensive logistics supply chain key to making the entire operation successful.”
