Rob Hart, from the company, said: “Building on our recent successes at the Northampton County Beer Festival, we’ve won another award, this time on the national stage.

“We finished in the top three ‘India Pale Ales’ category in the Farm Produce Awards 2015, organised by the Great British Food Magazine, with our 1833 India Pale Ale….of course.”

The category was open to all British brewers and was judged by the highly respected beer writer Sophie Atherton who contributes to The Guardian and was the first female Beer Sommelier in the UK. We’re thrilled to bits to be flying the flag for our county with a hat trick of awards for Wellingborough’s IPA.

In May, Hart Family Brewers triumphed at the Northampton County Beer Festival held at Delapre Abbey, in Northampton. In the Northants CAMRA Beer Competition, the Wellingborough firm was the only brewer to win gold in two categories.  The company’s Hart No.3 4.7% won in the ‘Strong Mild’ category and in the ‘Strong Bitter’ category it was its 1833 India Pale 6.6% that came out top brew.
