Chamber member and keen musician Simon Toseland of Prop-Search Wellingborough helped to raise £7,573 for two hospices.
His band Iniquity starred alongside Domino Effect and Thr3e in a gig at Hanger 1 Sywell on the March 7 – following the format of hit TV show Later with Jools Holland, the three bands played a selection of contrasting music (alternating between songs) comprising rock, pop and blues.
The money raised during ‘A Second Later…’ went to Cynthia Spencer Hospice and Cransley Hospice.
The event was sponsored by ACS (office supplies) and other local businesses including Foam Techniques, ISIS Business Solutions, Promote-It !, DalePak, Blocks4Hire, Midshires Electrical, StanAir, Action Screen and Forest Gate and Tom Wells Associates.
It followed in the footsteps of the same bands and format performing in September 2013, where over £4,000 was raised for Air Ambulance.
Plans are already beginning to take shape for a slightly different format gig in 2017.
