CLICK HERE TO REGISTER FOR THE BRIEFING
The Wellingborough Chamber of Commerce and Tresham College of Further and Higher Education are delighted to invite you to a free business briefing, one of the Chamber’s series of briefings, taking place on Thursday 11th September that I am sure will be of interest to you.
The event will host the launch of Tresham’s ‘Experience Wellingborough’ initiative which seeks to increase the job prospects for young people who are not in employment, education or training. The project aims to match young people aged 18-24, who are seeking to get their foot on the career ladder, with local and national employers to provide vital work placements to add to their CV and provide an advantage in the competitive jobs market.
The event will also have presentations from Wellingborough Norse – the newly created public/private partnership which delivers waste and grounds maintenance contracts on behalf of the Borough Council and can deliver services for the private sector.
An update on Northamptonshire’s Growth Deal and its implications for Wellingborough will also be provided by Jo Lappin (Chief Executive of NEP) Northamptonshire’s bid was very successful and Wellingborough has secured funding for many of the infrastructure and development projects which have until now been stalled.
The event is being organised by Wellingborough Chamber of Commerce and will be a continuation of the very successful briefings held in 2013. Delegates will be greeted with refreshments on arrival from 4pm, before listening to the key speakers (4.30pm) and having an opportunity to network with other businesses.
Wellingborough Chamber of Commerce is committed to making Wellingborough a better place for local businesses and we hope that you will want to learn more about what is happening in Wellingborough by supporting this event.
