The Wellingborough Chamber of Commerce is supporting Dementia Awareness and has pledged to support a wider recognition and understanding of this disability.
Dementia is a growing issues. There are over 4 million people in the world living with dementia and the figure is set to rise. Some of these people are your existing or potential customers. Apart from ensuring the best customer experience and helping people to remain as independent as possible for as long as possible, the actions of businesses, organisations and individuals will help to ensure that dementia sufferers are treated with care, understanding and dignity. For businesses it may help your organisation to be compliant with current legislation which recognises dementia as a disability and individuals who suffer from dementia will be someone’s relative who we would all expect to be treated in a compassionate way.
