The way Northamptonshire County Council delivers highway services needs to change if it is to remain affordable and better tailored to local needs. As part of the county council’s developing Highway Asset Management Strategy, it is necessary to consider various options and opportunities to reduce pressure on revenue budgets by exploring new and innovative ideas. The council is therefore undertaking consultation to seek the views of highway users.

The information collected from this consultation is one of a number of ways we will use to decide which services are important to you and what ideas and solutions we can develop in the future. The assessment of any new ideas expressed through the consultation will be considered against other factors such as legislation and government guidance, demographic data, financial costs and environmental impacts.
