INV-ENT funding
Chamber Members are being encouraged to investigate funding that could be the boost to help develop their business. The INV-ENT programme is run by the Northamptonshire Enterprise Partnership and funded by the County Council. It provides grants up to £20,000 (depending on business rate levels) to support innovative projects for business development and growth. It also enables and assists the creation of jobs.
The programme was launched in 2011 and 4 companies in Wellingborough have already benefitted – Full Support Healthcare (a Chamber Member) twice! The other companies to have secured grants are ESS Recycling, Turnell & Odell and Axon Automotive.
This is the fifth round of funding and the application deadline is on 11th November 2013. The programme has so far invested £800,000 supporting 47 businesses across the County which will create over 300 jobs, more than 100 apprenticeships and 600 employees supported to develop their skills.
James Wilson, Chamber President, said ‘this is a fantastic opportunity for Small and Medium Sized companies to get their hands on some funding to implement innovative projects which may be the catalyst for the future growth of their business. I’d like to see many more companies benefiting from this programme in the Borough and would urge people to make contact.’
Sajeeda Rose, Deputy Chief Executive at Northamptonshire Enterprise Partnership, said: “With the support of INV-ENT we have already seen numerous businesses in the county grow, resulting in new job opportunities and development of the local economy. INV-ENT is an incredibly popular funding scheme and one that we are delighted to be opening up for another round.”
